Job Description

A remote Estimator Assistant will support the estimation team in preparing accurate cost estimates and project bids. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and familiarity with construction materials, takeoffs, and pricing. While your duties will depend on the specific needs of your client, they will include, but not be limited to:

Assist in preparing cost estimates, bids, and proposals for construction projects.

Perform quantity takeoffs from plans, blueprints, and specifications.

Review drawings and project documents to identify scope requirements.

Collect, compare, and organize pricing from vendors and subcontractors.

Maintain and update cost databases, material pricing, and labor rates.

Support the preparation and submission of bid packages.

Assist in scope analysis to ensure all project components are included.

Track bid deadlines and ensure timely submissions.

Prepare estimation reports and summaries for internal review.

Coordinate with project managers and estimators to clarify project details.

Identify potential cost-saving opportunities or risks.

Ensure accuracy and completeness of all estimation data.

Requirements

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).

2+ years of proven experience in estimating or construction support roles.

Familiarity with takeoff tools such as Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or similar.

Strong numerical and analytical skills.

Attention to detail and accuracy.

Proficiency in Excel and estimation tools.

Technical Requirements

Processor: Intel 11th Gen (or AMD Ryzen 5000 series) for Windows | M2 for Macs.

RAM: 16 GB minimum.

Internet: Stable connection of 50 Mbps minimum.

Please note that devices such as MacBook Neos and Chromebooks are not fit for our roles.

At WorkBetterNow, we believe in rewarding commitment and supporting long-term success. Our pay structure ensures your compensation evolves with your experience and tenure. Note: The figures below reflect our 2026 ranges; each tenure milestone will increase each year.

0-3 months: $1,200 USD/month

After 3 months: You’ll receive a $50 monthly Wellness Bonus to support a healthy and balanced work life (total: $1,250/month).

After 1 year: Salary increases to $1,340 USD/month

After 2 years: Salary increases to $1,480 USD/month

After 3 years: Salary increases to $1,540 USD/month

After 4 years: Salary increases to $1,600 USD/month

Two Annual Adjustments: Every year, you benefit from two salary increases: one on your work anniversary, recognizing your continued tenure with WorkBetterNow, and one at the start of each calendar year, when all salary ranges are updated company-wide.
